Joe Geesin is a UK based freelance writer and researcher, raised in East Sussex and a long-time London resident. Joe currently resides in Worcestershire, working as an Environmental Health Technical Officer and a Petroleum Officer, while continuing to write and research within the music industry.
Working in Journalism and PR, Joe has over 30 years' experience in the music industry (becoming a discography specialist) and six years in advertising and marketing. With a client list that already boasts Universal, Sanctuary, Cherry Red and Republic Media, work has been published in Record Collector, New Scientist, Kerrang! and Now Spinning.

With over 230 published interviews, key interviews include those with John Peel, Christopher Lee, Pink Floyd, Status Quo, Ian Gillan, Iron Maiden, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Steppenwolf and Foghat. With over a dozen published interviews with Saxon, Joe has struck up a personal friendship with the band and their label.

In addition, with over 4350 LP, CD and live reviews and annotation and compilation of over 100 CDs, Joe’s passion and specialist knowledge is renowned.

Joe also founded, managed and edited official fanclubs for Cozy Powell, Nazareth and Paul Samson, striking up a close friendship with these artists, his PR work integral in the subsequent friendships and official websites.

To complement his work for Record Collector Magazine and the Rare Record Price Guide, Joe has experience in discography research and is also a dealer in rare rock/metal vinyl, which includes foreign pressings. Joe was also instrumental in developing the current format of Record Collector's Rare Record Price Guide, working closely with the editor in 1991.
